Follow this easy recipe to make resort-style pancakes for your dog!
Ingredients:
1 cup mashed banana
1/3 cup grated apple
2 large eggs
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
a splash of coconut milk
How to Prepare:
In a large bowl, mix together mashed banana, grated apple and egg.
In a separate medium-sized bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour and baking powder.
Gently stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients..
Lightly butter a skillet over medium heat and pour about 3 Tbsp of batter onto the skillet. Cook pancake for about 2 minutes on each side.
(FYI: This is an altered recipe. Leave off the syrup in the photo).
Serving size (based on 3 tablespoons of batter): Small dog: 1/2 a pancake or less; larger dog: 1/2 up to a whole pancake.
*Check with your vet first before introducing a new food to your dog's diet. And if you do begin to give your dog this treat, be sure to start with small quantities. As always with any food, if you see behavioral changes or digestive issues call your vet.
