Add another layer of yummy to my graham cracker hearts recipe for dogs!
Ingredients:
Carob chips
Cream cheese
Graham cracker heart (Under "Recipes" in my blog)
Since you should never give your dog chocolate, carob is a great substitution;
It safe for dogs to eat in moderation.
Instructions:
Place carob chips in microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30-second intervals until nice and smooth.
Spread a thin layer of cream
cheese on a graham cracker heart then dip in melted carob.
Place on wax paper until carob has cooled and hardened.
Serving size: 1 treat
*Check with your vet first before introducing a new food to your dog's diet. And if you do begin to give your dog this treat, be sure to start with small quantities. As always with any food, if you see behavioral changes or digestive issues call your vet.
