Dog Treat Recipe: Frozen Yogurt-Berry Parfait

Prep Time

10 minutes (Makes 8 -10 treats)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 8 oz plain yogurt

  • 10 strawberries, diced (fresh or frozen)

  • 20 blueberries (fresh or frozen)

How to prepare:

1. In a dog treat silicone mold combine strawberries and blueberries. 2. Spoon over the yogurt. Fill evenly and smooth the top. 3. Tap on the counter to ensure there are no air bubbles and the mixture is evenly distributed. 4. Freeze for a minimum of 5 hours or overnight.

Serve: To remove the treats from the mold, tap on the counter to loosen them and turn the mold over. If you have any trouble, quickly run the mold under warm water to help loosen the treats. Give your dog no more than one of these treats a day.

Store: Place in the freezer for up to 3 months.

*Check with your vet first before introducing a new food to your dog's diet. And if you do begin to give your dog this treat, be sure to start with small quantities. As always with any food, if you see behavioral changes or digestive issues call your vet.
