Nala, Cooper and I hiked straight up the gravel road; took the BlueBell trail across, where I slipped on a rock and fell to the ground - acquiring a lovely bruise. Nala gave me a sweet look of concern. I kissed her. Then we came back on the center trail, stepping downward into the snow framing the walk to carefully dodge the icy patches. Time to invest in some micro spikes.
